Marliska DeClouette, LPC-S

Marliska has worked as a counselor for over 4 years, and has extensive experience working with mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, psychotic disorders and substance abuse. As a therapist at PTI, Marliska strives to help clients reach their full potential by setting mental health goals for themselves to prevent mental illness from holding them back in their lives. She knew early on that she wanted to be a therapist after taking a 10th grade Psychology course in high school. This experience helped her find her passion for listening to the concerns and personal challenges of others, and then helping them find the means to solving their problems and accomplish their goals. Marliska’s passion and drive to help others succeed fits perfectly with the PTI philosophy of client care, which makes her a valued and appreciated member of the team.

She is originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana, but has been in Baton Rouge since 2003. Marliska attended Louisiana State University where she received an undergraduate degree before going on to Southern University to earn her master’s degree. In her time away from PTI, she enjoys planning parties with and for family and friends, traveling for fun, and the thrill of watching horror movies with her two dogs.
